I’m a queer woman of colour, survivor advocate, and violence prevention practitioner. My work is grounded in lived experience- fleeing family violence as a newly arrived migrant at 19, without systemic support. I advocate for safer futures by focusing on the impacts of intergenerational trauma on family systems, mental health, and suicidality.
I’m particularly committed to amplifying the voices of migrant children and young people who are too often excluded from critical conversations about safety, autonomy, and recovery.
For the past 6.5 years, I’ve contributed to state and national conversations on child and family safety, DFSV, suicide prevention, and culturally responsive care. I have also partnered extensively with the not-for-profit sector and governments with organizations such as Mental Health Australia, Beryl Women Inc., Multicultural Youth Advocacy Network, and Headspace to drive co-design, policy reform, governance, and strategy.
