ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

inTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence (inTouch) provides person-centred, integrated and culturally responsive family violence services to people from migrant and refugee communities across Victoria. We have assisted over 30,000 women and children experiencing family violence throughout our 40 years of operation, providing a holistic service that centres the experiences of victim-survivors in everything we do.

inTouch works across the family violence continuum, providing culturally informed early intervention, case management, programs for men who use violence, legal advice, crisis recovery and enhanced capacity-building across the sector and community. We are proud to provide high-level leadership and guidance to all levels of government with our evidence-based, victim-survivor informed advocacy and policy work.

We are a unique and vital service, with specialist expertise working with people of migrant and refugee
backgrounds. This is reflected in our workforce, which is comprised primarily of people who are migrants
and refugees themselves – the inTouch team is from over 20 different countries and communities globally.

ABOUT THE ROLE

inTouch Grant Manager plays a key role in supporting the expansion and growth of inTouch’s service and program delivery to migrant and refugee women experiencing family violence. The position will be an integral part of inTouch’s goal to work towards financial sustainability and growing new revenue opportunities.

Key focus areas include:

  • Developing and managing grant seeking strategies, including annual pipeline and database of prospective funders;
  • Conducting thorough research to identify potential grant, tender and other funding opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
  • Collaborating with program team and leveraging information gathered to develop a compelling grant and funding proposals.
  • Overseeing the administration of awarded grants and ensuring compliance with all funding requirements and guidelines.
  • Cultivating and maintaining relationships with current and potential funders.
  • Representing inTouch at meeting and other events to enhance visibility.
  • Maintaining accurate and organised records of grant activities, budget and reporting.
  • Providing right support to team to help enhance their grant writing skills and improving grant application success rate.
  • Fostering an inclusive and supportive environment that encourages innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Aligning team efforts with organisational goals and program objective and ensuring effective cross departmental collaboration.

ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT

Essential

  • 3+ years prior experience in successfully managing a diverse grants portfolio.
  • Demonstrated understanding of culturally sensitive practices and of the unique challenges faced by multicultural communities.
  • Demonstrated capacity to develop and maintain systems to manage dynamic work priorities, reporting and analysis of trends and results.
  • Demonstrated high level written communication skills and ability to communicate in various writing styles, including experience in the preparation of funding submissions.
  • Excellent oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, ability to collaborate effectively and develop good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve income targets.
  • Sound financial management skills and experience in developing program budgets.
  • Significant understanding of monitoring and evaluation frameworks, practices and impact reporting.
  • Expert knowledge of and experience in project management.

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualification in Community Development, Business, Public Administration or related field.
  • Ability to speak a language in addition to English.
