inTouch’s inSpire initiative is committed to assisting migrant and refugee women in our community to build a safe and independent life of their choosing after experiencing family violence. We’re calling on the community to help us do just that.
At the end of 2020, we asked you to support us so that we could continue to help our clients. And you responded- with love, encouragement and overwhelming generosity. With your support we were able to:
• Deliver 694 regular deliveries of culturally appropriate food packs along with translated health information, reusable face masks through our COVID-19 emergency relief program to 235 women and children
• Mentor 53 women through inSpire’s Economic Independence stream, supporting them on their road to employment in Australia, while also focusing on their emotional wellbeing and resilience.
• Bring 50 women and their children together (virtually where necessary) to celebrate culturally significant events, including Eid, Christmas and Diwali through our Social Connections program stream
• Give eight families financial support so that their children could engage in extracurricular activities, allowing families to engage in the community and create positive memories together.
“If I had not been in this program I don’t know if I would be able to be who I am right now. It’s made such a big difference for me, I am more confident and feel like I am finally starting to rebuild my life” – Prisha*, inSpire Program Participant
Can you help Victorian women establish their independence following family violence?
By making a tax-deductible donation by December 30, you can help inSpire provide the assistance these women need in boosting their confidence, skills and social connections in order to rebuild their lives here in our community in Victoria.
